The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached video who they said are wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery that occurred in University Heights.
Police said that on Saturday, Oct. 18, at around 2.40 p.m., in the vicinity of Aqueduct Avenue East and West 184th street, a 22-year-old male victim was riding a Citi bike when he was approached by two unidentified people, also riding a Citi bike. “One of the individuals displayed a knife, made verbal threats and demanded that the victim surrender his bicycle,” a police spokesperson said.
“The victim complied and the unidentified individuals fled on Citi bikes, traveling southbound on Aqueduct Avenue East to parts unknown,” the spokesperson added. Police said no injuries were reported.
They said the first suspect is described as male, has a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a multicolored tracksuit with black and white sneakers. They said the second suspect is also described as male, has a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black sweater, black sweatpants, and gray sneakers.
