University Heights: Search for Five following Armed Robbery of Barber Shop

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the five individuals seen in the attached video and photographs who are sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in University Heights, located in the 52nd precinct.

 

It was reported to police that on Monday Jan. 3, at approximately 12.10 p.m., inside 2357 Jerome Avenue (Innovation Barber and Beauty Shop) in the University Heights section of the Bronx, two individuals approached a 26-year-old male victim, brandished handguns, and demanded money from him.

 

Three other individuals stood by and kept watch. The victim complied and gave the individuals approximately $930 in cash. All five individuals then fled the location on foot, southbound, on Jerome Avenue.

 

They are described, collectively, as young men in their 20s, Black, and all wore hooded sweaters and face masks.
