Throggs Neck: Man in White Vehicle Sought for Attempted Luring of Child

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating the individual and vehicle seen in the attached video and photos in the context of the attempted luring of a child that occurred in Throggs Neck.

 

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at around 5.45 p.m., the victim, a 14-year-old girl, was walking in the vicinity of Lawton Avenue and Milton Place when an unidentified man driving a large, white, box truck began to approach the victim.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating the vehicle and individual seen in the attached video, the latter sought in connection to the attempted luring of a child on Feb. 1, 2023.

Police said the suspect exited the vehicle, made gestures and comments to the victim while attempting to lure her into the truck. The girl ran away, and the suspect fled in the truck in an unknown direction. No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

 

The suspect is described as male, and is believed to be in his 30s.

The vehicle is described as a large white box truck, with unclear lettering on the driver side door.
