Norwood: Building Applications Filed with DOB for 3537 Bainbridge Avenue

  Building applications have been filed to expand a 2-story structure into a 5-story residential building at 3537 Bainbridge Avenue in the Norwood section o the Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Located between East Gun Hill Road and East 212th Street, the lot is near the Woodlawn subway station, serviced by the 4 train. City’s Emergency Management Team Urges New Yorkers to Avoid Travel Amid Latest Snow Advisory

  New York City Emergency Management Department issued a travel advisory for Sunday,  Feb. 13, amid a forecast for light snow expected to last through Sunday afternoon. UPDATE MTA: BX10 Bus Stop on E Gun Hill Road and Bainbridge Ave Temporarily Closed until March 26

  A flyer posted to the bus stop at East Gun Hill Road and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood indicates that there is a temporary closure of the stop for the Bx10 bus (westbound) from Dec. 27, 2021 to March 26, 2022.     Photos show a heavy amount of snow surrounding the stop.   Norwood News reached out to the MTA for more information about the suspension, and were informed that they do not manage bus stops but suggested to contact NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) or NYC Department of Design & Construction (DDC) as the closure may be due

Banks & COVID-19 Testing Sites Re-Open After Snow Storm, Mayor Shares COVID-19 Update & Best Sledding Parks

Norwood Man Fatally Shot, Marking Sixth Homicide Within 52nd Precinct for ’19

Police are looking for two gunmen wanted in a pair of unrelated killings along Bainbridge Avenue, taking place just nine days apart, marking the 5th and 6th homicides of the year for the 52nd Precinct.
