Multiple Shooting Leaves 31-Year-Old Man Dead

A man has died following a fatal shooting in the vicinity of the Crotona neighborhood. Police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at the intersection of East 178th Street and Arthur Avenue in the 48th precinct on Tuesday, May 25, at around 6 p.m.   A preliminary investigation revealed the 31-year-old man had been shot multiple times in the torso during a dispute at the location. Belmont: 30-Year-Old Shot Dead (in head) over Restroom Line Dispute

    The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating the man seen in the attached photo and video who is sought in connection with a murder that occurred in the 48th precinct.   It was reported to police that on Sunday, May 9, at approximately 3.48 a.m., inside a bar/nightclub located at 4555 Third Avenue in the Belmont section of The Bronx, a 30-year-old man became embroiled in a dispute with the unidentified suspect over whose turn it was to use the restroom.   The dispute escalated shortly thereafter when the suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim

UPDATE: Belmont Area: Two Men Shot, One Dead

On Sunday, April 4, 2021 at approximately 9.05 p.m., police responded to a 911 call about two male victims who had been shot in front of 2105 Monterey Avenue close to Belmont, in the 48th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.   EMS responded to the location and transported both victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where the 37-year-old man was pronounced deceased, and the 31-year-old man remains in critical condition. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Monay Archibald, 15, of 442 East 184th Street from the Belmont section of the Bronx, who was reported missing in the 48th precinct.   It was reported to police that Monay was last seen Sunday, March 28, at 2 p.m., leaving a laundry mat located at 2345 Washington Avenue in Belmont. NYPD Release Release BodyCam Footage of Police-Involved Shooting in Bronx

  The NYPD released on Thursday, Feb. 24, body-worn camera footage from an officer-involved shooting that occurred on December 30, 2020, in the 48th precinct, which encompasses Belmont, East Tremont, and West Farms. Belmont: 59-Year-Old Woman Found Dead, NYPD Classify as Homicide

On Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at around 8.12 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a wellness check at 2173 Clinton Avenue in the Belmont section of the Bronx, in the 48th precinct.   Upon arrival, the FDNY was asked to remove the door. An unconscious and unresponsive 59-year-old female, aided, laying at the bottom of the stairs, was found inside the residence.   EMS responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene. The medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.   On Tuesday, Dec. 1, police reported that the incident has been deemed a homicide.
