Police Appeal to Public for Help with Case involving Man Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in providing further information on a man who has been arrested for various sex-related crimes committed against numerous children.

 

It was reported to police that sometime between November 2019 and July 2021, inside P.S. 100X, located at 800 Taylor Avenue in the Soundview section of The Bronx, the man sexually assaulted at least three girls under the age of 12 during a New York Junior Tennis League after-school program.

 

Gerardo Gutierrez, 30, of Unionport Road in the Parkchester neighborhood of the borough, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, and charged with sex abuse, a criminal sex act, “course of sexual conduct against a child,” and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 (three counts).
