The owner of the budgie shown in the photo is requesting the public’s assistance in locating her pet, called Dave. She said he is not the best flyer and apparently gets tired fast. If found, Dave needs to be caught as fast as possible.

Welcome to the Norwood News, a bi-weekly community newspaper that primarily serves the northwest Bronx communities of Norwood, Bedford Park, Fordham and University Heights. The Norwood News exists to foster communication among citizens and organizations and to be a tool for neighborhood development efforts. The Norwood News runs the Bronx Youth Journalism Heard, a journalism training program for Bronx high school students. I am Dave’s Owner. We are devasted and need him back home . He is not tagged, does not respond to his name, but has a distinct feature that Identifies him.
Hi. I texted the number and called. I live in College Point and saw this bird in MacNeil Park about one hour ago. He is flying well and seems friendly.
My concern is we have a peregrine falcon that lives in our park as well. If I see him again, I will attempt to catch him. He flew off this morning. We tried to walk around and find him but it is a decent size park.
