Bedford Park locals have always had difficulty finding parking, becoming a frustrating scourge in the upper Bronx neighborhood. But with one parking garage gone and others with rising rates, locals may have to settle with what they have.

A nursing assistant enjoying the “Weekend Walks” festival in Norwood on Sept. 29 with her two young children—put her medical skills to work after a volunteer suffered a seizure. North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) will “absolutely” stay open for the foreseeable future, NYC Health + Hospitals President and CEO Dr. Mitchell Katz said during a “Newsmakers Q&A” roundtable discussion at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism on Sept 27.
