The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified man seen in the attached video and photos who is sought in connection with an attempted rape pattern in the 46th and 44th precincts. In relation to the first incident in the 46th precinct, it was reported to police that on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 at approximately 6 p.m., inside a residential building in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East 177th Street in Mt Hope, the man approached the victim, a 29-year-old female, and forcibly touched her private area.

Following an early morning police-involved shooting in the Bronx’s 40th precinct on Sunday, NYPD Chief of Department, Terence Monahan provided a written and video statement on the incident, prefacing his remarks by saying that the information provided was preliminary and subject to change, as the investigation is still ongoing.
