The New York City Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) has launched an affordable housing lottery for 225 units at River Crest Apartments, located at 1164 River Avenue in the Concourse section of The Bronx. Available on NYC Housing Connect, HPD’s online portal, are 225 newly constructed units located within the boundary of Bronx Community Board 4, which covers the neighborhoods of Mt. A 51-year-old woman died from her injuries after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in the Laconia section of the East Bronx following a daylight road incident involving one vehicle. On Thursday, April 28, at approximately 12.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Bouck Avenue in Laconia.
