Bronxites bid farewell to Summer 2022 at the Fordham Road Business Improvement District (BID) Annual Street Fair in Fordham Manor on Saturday, Oct. 8, after the event was postponed due to rain at the end of September. According to the Fordham Road BID’s website, the Street Fair is the largest street festival in The Bronx.   The Fordham Road BID is a non-profit founded in 2005 with the aim of fostering promoting and growing local businesses. Bronx CB7 District Manager, Ischia Bravo, Appointed as County Clerk for Bronx County at Supreme Court

Ischia Bravo, district manager for Bronx Community Board 7 (CB7), has been appointed as the county clerk for Bronx County at the Supreme Court of the State of New York Appellate Division, First Judicial Department, effective Jan. 2, 2023.   The news was announced in a press release on Wednesday, Oct. 19, by presiding Justice Rolando T. Acosta. UPDATE Olinville: Man Arrested following Fatal Shooting of 40-Year-Old Man

A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Olinville in October. Police from the 47th Precinct said that on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at around 3.34 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot in the vicinity of East 216th Street and White Plains Road.   “Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest, in front of 3734 White Plains Road,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Heath & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.”

Van Cortlandt Village: Five Sought in Armed Robbery Pattern
