Bedford Park: Man, 29, Stable in Hospital after Stabbing

A 29-year-old was stabbed in Bedford Park over the weekend, police said. He remains in stable condition. On Saturday, Dec. 3, at around 2.25 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in the vicinity of Valentine Avenue and East 198th Street. The NYPD said a group of people displayed guns in the midst of “commotion,” classified as a reckless endangerment incident in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx. A 39-year old man has been hospitalized following an auto-theft and police-involved shooting in the Mt Hope section of The Bronx, police said. NYPD Chief of Department, Chief Jeffrey Maddrey, Chief John Chell, chief of patrol, and other senior officials from Patrol Borough Manhattan North, Patrol Borough Bronx and the 44th Precinct, gave a press conference in the early hours of Sunday morning, Dec. 4, to share details of the incident. Following an early morning, Nov. 24th, residential fire in which two people died at 1730 Harrison Avenue in Morris Heights, the FDNY is encouraging the public to check out their fire safety tips, while a GoFundMe page has been set-up to support the victims of the tragedy.
