Students and Parents Prepare for Yellow Bus Service Strike

Parents and students should be sure to prepare for a hectic morning as the school bus drivers’ union schedules their strike for tomorrow. The Department of Education has released alternatives to getting students to school in the wake of the strike and Norwood News is working hard to make it as smooth as any another Wednesday morning.

DOE Says Clinton Will Remain, But Changes Coming

The tremendous effort put forth by the students, staff and alumni of Dewitt Clinton High School has paid off after the Department of Education announced plans to ax the historic yet troubled school were no longer part of the discussion. But changes, including leadership change, could be on the horizon.

Bronx LIFT, 2381 Belmont Ave. (between 186th and 187th streets), offers free workshops, one-on-one financial coaching, referrals to credit unions, and free one-on-one assistance with employment, housing, resume help, filling out applications, finding education/job training opportunities and enrolling in public benefits.
