Miriam Morales, 56, died during a fire in her apartment. Morales, a cancer patient, possibly started the fire, when her cigarette triggered an explosion from an oxygen tank. Apartment Fire Kills Bedford Park Woman

At around 7 a.m. this morning, 56-year-old Miriam Morales, a resident of 2977 Bainbridge Ave., in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx, died in her apartment after a fire broke out.
