The City’s emergency services said one person was hospitalized on Sept. 1, following a motor vehicle accident on the Bronx River Parkway in the Olinville section of The Bronx.

An EMS spokesperson said emergency services received a call at 7.25 a.m. on Sept. 1, for a report of a motor vehicle accident on the Bronx River Parkway’s Exit 9 northbound lane at East Gun Hill Road.

They said one person was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in Morris Park. Their description and condition was unknown.

A video posted to the Citizens’ App shows a dark-colored, overturned car at the location, with at least two of its doors open. With collision investigations, the NYPD handles all criminal aspects of the investigation, while NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) reviews the street design at the locations of such crashes.

In September 2003 the paper expanded to cover University Heights and now covers all the neighborhoods of Community District 7. The Norwood News exists to foster communication among citizens and organizations and to be a tool for neighborhood development efforts.
