Olinville: Man 38 Stabbed at East Gun Hill Road Subway Station amid Dispute

 

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video in connection with an assault that occurred at the East Gun Hill Road subway station in Olinville on March 26, 2023.

 

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached video in connection with an assault that occurred in Olinville at Gun Hill Road subway station, serving the 2 train.

 

It was reported to police that on Sunday, March 26, at around 11.39 a.m., a 38-year-old man was on a moving southbound 2 train when an unidentified person approached him and engaged him in a verbal dispute.

 

As the dispute escalated, police said both the victim and suspect exited the train at the East Gun Hill Road and White Plains Road train station. They said while on the southbound platform, the suspect displayed a knife and proceeded to stab the victim in the lower back. “The individual fled from the station to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said of the suspect. “EMS responded and transported the aided victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.”

The suspect is described as male and has a medium to dark complexion.
