Norwood: Police Appeal for Help Locating 14-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing

THE NYPD IS seeking the public’s assistance locating a 14-year-old girl, Amelia Cruz, from the Norwood section of The Bronx, who is reported missing.

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 14-year-old girl reported missing from the Norwood section of The Bronx.

 

Police said Amelia Cruz of Decatur Avenue was last seen leaving 3016 Webster Avenue also in Norwood (the address of the 52nd Precinct) on Tuesday, June 3, at around 1 p.m. They said she is described as female, Black, is around 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. They said she was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jean shorts, and black sneakers.

 

Amelia was previously reported missing in October 2024, as reported.

 

Separate from this incident, as reported, five teenage girls from a Castle Hill group home have also been reported missing, as have a number of other people from Norwood, Bedford Park, Kingsbridge Heights, University Heights, and Williamsbridge in recent weeks. Additionally, as reported, several media outlets have reported that the body of a missing 2-year-old boy from the South Bronx was found in the East River in recent days and that the little boy’s father has since been arrested and charged in connection with his death.
