Northeast Bronx: NYPD Release Additional Video of Person of Interest in Murder Investigation

 

The NYPD released additional video on Monday, March 28, and appealed to the public for help identifying a second person of interest sought for questioning in connection to the 2021 fatal shooting of Corey Allen, 28, of Mount Vernon in the Northeast Bronx.

 

On Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at around 3.28 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a multiple shooting which took place opposite 2280 Tillotson Avenue (a gas station), in the area to the north of Co-op City. Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 35-year-old man, conscious and alert at the location.

 

EMS responded and transported both men to Jacobi Medical Center, where the 28-year-old man was pronounced deceased and the 35-year-old was listed in stable condition. There were no arrests.

 

On Sept. 5, 2021, the deceased, who it was later revealed died at the scene, was identified as Corey Allen, 28, of Mount Vernon, NY. The 35-year-old male victim who had also been transported to Jacobi was still listed in stable condition.

 

On Sept. 23, 2021, the NYPD asked for the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the attached surveillance video and photographs who was sought for questioning in connection to the investigation.

 

 

She was described as female, was in her mid 30s, had a medium build, was dark-skinned, had red hair in a bun and was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, red pants and eyeglasses.

 

On March 28, 2022, pursuant to the ongoing investigation, additional video was shared by police of a second individual who is also sought as a person of interest in connection to the incident.
