New York Lottery Top-Prize Winning Tickets Sold in The Bronx

Representatives from the New York Lottery announced on Sunday, Jan. 8, that there was one $1 million-winning ticket for the Jan. 7 Powerball drawing, and four $50,000 winning tickets, including one ticket which was sold in The Bronx.

 

Officials said the winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Shop ‘n Save, located at 10 Buffalo Street in Gowanda, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $1,000,000.00
  • Tulip Caterers located at 1020 Tulip Avenue in Franklin Square (Nassau County) which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.00
  • 7-Eleven #36674B located at 690N French Road in Buffalo, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.00
  • Giovanni Wine & Liquors Inc. located at 732E 152nd Street in The Bronx, which sold prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.00
  • 1118 Mannat Inc. located at 818 Dutchess Turnpike in PoughKeepsie, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.00

 

Lottery officials said the winning numbers were 35, 36, 44, 45 and 67 and the Powerball was 14. The jackpot for Monday’s drawing was $340 million. The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69, officials said and they added that the red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10.59 p.m.

 

New York Lottery officials also announced one top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Jan. 3 TAKE 5 midday drawing. They said the ticket, worth $19,411.00, was purchased at Discount Mart Inc., located at 2179 Westchester Avenue in the Parkchester section of The Bronx.

 

The New York Lottery also announced one second-prize ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Dec. 16 CASH4LIFE drawing. The ticket is worth a guaranteed $1,000 a week for life. Lottery officials said the ticket was purchased at Liquor Barn, located at 802 Allerton Avenue in the Allerton section of The Bronx.

 

They added that the winning numbers for the CASH4LIFE game are drawn from a field of one to 60, and the Cash Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to four. The CASH4LIFE drawing takes place daily at around 9 p.m.

 

Lottery officials also announced one top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Dec. 16 TAKE 5 midday drawing. The ticket, worth $19,807.50, was purchased at Alvin and Bora Inc., located at 1106 Metcalf Avenue in the Soundview section of The Bronx.

 

Officials also announced one top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Dec. 15 TAKE 5 drawing. The ticket, worth $35,896.50, was purchased at Crotona Lotto Plus Inc., located at 1936 Crotona Avenue in the Crotona section of The Bronx.

 

Another top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Dec. 3 TAKE 5 midday drawing. The ticket, worth $19,996.00, was purchased at Los Mellizos Grocery Corp., located at 199 East 165th Street in the Concourse section of The Bronx, according to New York Lottery.

 

Officials also announced another top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Dec. 1 TAKE 5 midday drawing. The ticket, worth $19,845.00, was purchased at Lava Max Laundromat, located at 3559 White Plains Road in the Olinville section of The Bronx.

 

There were multiple top prize-winning tickets sold for the Nov 30 TAKE 5 evening drawing also, according to lottery officials. The tickets were sold in The Bronx and in Malone at the following locations:

  • Mountain Mart #104 located at 3414 State Route 11 in Malone, which sold one prize winning ticket worth $17,211.00
  • Chois Stationary located at 5644 Riverdale Avenue in The Bronx, which sold one prize winning ticket worth $17,211.00

 

Lottery officials also announced there were multiple top-prize winning tickets sold for the Nov. 28 TAKE 5 drawing. The tickets were sold in The Bronx, Saratoga Springs and in Tappan at the following locations:

  • Los Morochos Grocery Store Inc. located at 1973 Walton Avenue in The Bronx, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $6,185.50
  • Nick’s Convenience store located at 68 Route 303 in Tappan, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $5,965.50
  • Hannaford #8391 located at 95 Weibel Avenue in Saratoga Springs, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $5,965.50

 

They added that TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing, according to lottery officials.

 

New York Lottery officials said the lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2021-2022 to help support education in New York State.
