The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery & attempted robbery pattern identified in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx.
Police said Incident #1 took place on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at around 6.20 a.m. They said an unidentified person approached a 67-year-old female victim as she was waiting for the bus on the northeast corner of East Tremont Avenue and the Grand Concourse, grabbed the victim’s cell phone valued at around $1,500, and fled on foot westbound along East Tremont Avenue to parts unknown. They said there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Police said Incident #2 took place on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at around 5.25 a.m. They said once again an unidentified person approached a 59-year-old female victim who was in front of 121 East Tremont Avenue. They said the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to steal her purse. They said the suspect was finally unable to obtain the purse and subsequently fled on foot to parts unknown. They said the victim sustained minor injuries to her left arm but was not hospitalized.
