Kingsbridge Heights: Police Appeal for Help Identifying Group Sought in Gang Robbery Pattern

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the people seen in the attached video who they say are sought in connection with a Bronx robbery / attempted robbery pattern identified in recent months across the 50th Precinct, which covers Riverdale, Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.

 

Police said the first incident took place on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at around 5.10 a.m. in front of 2796 Sedgwick Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights. They said a 21-year-old male victim was approached by an unidentified person who demanded that the victim surrender his belongings. They said the victim threw his keys to the ground, and the suspect fled the location without the belongings. They said there were no injuries reported.

 

Police said the second incident occurred on Thursday, Sept. 25, at around 4.35 a.m. in the vicinity of Reservoir Avenue and West 197th Street, also in Kingsbridge Heights. They said a 34-year-old male victim was approached by four unidentified people who, once again, demanded that the victim surrender his belongings, and then proceeded to punch and kick him about the body. They said ultimately, they stole his iPhone, AirPods, and North Face jacket. They said the assailants fled the location on foot, northbound on Reservoir Avenue and there were no injuries formally reported by the victim.

 

Police said the third incident took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, at around 00.56 a.m. in front of Claflin Avenue, also in Kingsbridge Heights. They said an 18-year-old male victim was approached by two unidentified people who, again, demanded that the victim surrender his possessions. They said they then proceeded to punch and kick the victim about the body, ultimately stealing his backpack, watch, and wallet. They said the suspects fled the location on foot to parts unknown, and no injuries were formally reported by the victim, following the incident.
