Kingsbridge Heights: Man Assaulted with Bottle and Robbed in Kingsbridge Road Subway Station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media, who they say is wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in Kingsbridge Heights.

 

Police said that on Thursday, Feb. 5, at around 4.45 a.m., a 59-year-old male victim was in the mezzanine area of the Kingsbridge Road Subway Station. [Norwood News has asked if it’s the station serving the D or the 4 train and will confirm upon receipt of feedback from the NYPD.] They said the suspect approached and struck the victim in the face with a glass bottle and stole his wallet, which they said contained around $100. They said the suspect then fled the location on foot, traveling in an unknown direction.

“EMS transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital in stable condition,” a police spokesperson said. The suspect is described by police as male with a light complexion, who was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black hat.

 

As reported, on Jan. 29, a man beat a subway commuter with a baseball bat inside the Kingsbridge Road subway station serving the D train. Also, as reported, a 40-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed inside Bedford Park Boulevard subway station on Dec. 10, 2025. Another stabbing incident was also reported at the same station on Nov. 4, Election Night, as reported.
