Highbridge: Man Sought for Rape of 50-Year-Old Woman

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached sketch who they say is wanted for questioning in connection to a rape that occurred in the Highbridge section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Friday, April 17, at around 7 p.m., the victim, a 50-year-old woman, was approached by an unidentified male individual in a building in the vicinity of West 164th Street and Ogden Avenue and proceeded to sexually assault her. “The male individual then forcefully removed approximately $50 and a yellow metal chain with a metal cross pendant before fleeing on foot to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.”

 

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, is estimated to be between 30 and 40 years of age, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a medium build, a goatee beard, and was last seen wearing a gray NY Yankee cap.
