Police are asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old resident of Norwood in the Highbridge section of The Bronx in 2023.
As reported, police said that on Thursday, June 22, at around 9.03 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding an aided male/calls for help inside 1165 Shakespeare Avenue in Highbridge.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old male in a semi-conscious state within the fifth-floor hallway, with a sustained lactation under his chin,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased on Sunday, June 25, 2023.”
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner deemed the manner of death as a homicide, and that the victim had sustained an apparent traumatic head injury. They said there were no arrests, and the investigation remained ongoing.
The deceased was identified as Jermaine Jones of Webster Avenue in Norwood.
They the person sought was identified as Amir Dickson, 32.
