Group Sought in Robbery Pattern Traced Across The Bronx & Manhattan

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person and vehicle seen in the attached photos in the context of a robbery pattern which has been traced across The Bronx and Manhattan during April and May 2023.

 

The first incident occurred in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx in the 50th Precinct, police said. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Friday, April 14, at around 3 a.m., the victim, a 27-year-old man, was in front of 3472 Bailey Avenue when he was approached by three people unknown to him. Police said they pulled out a gun, stole the victim’s glasses, along with $600, and were last seen fleeing northbound on Bailey Avenue in a blue Honda Accord. They said the victim was not injured as a result of the incident and refused medical attention.

 

Police said the second incident occurred south of the Van Nest section of The Bronx in the 43rd Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, April 16, at around 3.05 a.m., four victims, a 23-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, an 18-year-old male, and a 20-year old man were in front of 1719 Cross Bronx Expressway when they were approached by three people unknown to them. “The individuals displayed a firearm and forcibly removed the victim’s cell phone and car keys before discharging a firearm in the victims’ direction,” the police spokesperson said. “The individuals were last seen fleeing westbound in a blue Honda, four-door sedan.” Police said the victims were not injured, and refused medical attention.

 

According to the NYPD, the third incident occurred in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx in the 46th Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, April 16, at around 1.58 a.m., the victim, a 46-year-old man, was in front of 1735 Undercliff Avenue when he was approached by a person unknown to him who pulled out a gun and stole the victim’s watch, along with $2,500. “The individual was last seen fleeing in a blue Honda Accord,” the spokesperson said. “The victim was not injured and refused medical attention.”

 

Police said the fourth incident occurred in the Pelham Gardens section of The Bronx in the 49th Precinct. A police spokesperson said that on Saturday, April 15, at around 10.40 p.m., the victim, a 35-year-old man, was inside the parking lot of 1990 East Gun Hill Road when he was approached by a person unknown to him. “The individual displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s property,” the spokesperson said. “The victim was able to get away and the individual was unable to remove any property.” Police said the suspect was last seen fleeing in a blue Honda Accord and that the victim was not injured and refused medical attention.

 

Police said the fifth incident took place in the Inwood section of Manhattan, in the 34th Precinct. According to an NYPD spokesperson, on Monday, April 24, at around 2.30 a.m., the victim, a 40-year-old man, was walking in front of 423 West 203rd Street when a blue Honda Accord stopped in front of him and a person unknown to him got out of the car from the passenger side. Police said the assailant pulled out a gun and stole the victim’s wallet, which contained $400. They said the assailants were last seen fleeing northbound on Ninth Avenue in a blue Honda Accord. “The victim was not injured and refused medical attention,” police said.

 

According to police, the sixth incident occurred in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan, also in the 34th Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Monday, April 24, at around 1.20 a.m., the victim, a 30-year-old man, was walking in the vicinity of St. Nicholas Avenue and West 189th Street when he was approached by a person unknown to him. Police said the assailant pulled out a gun and stole the victim’s sneakers, a gold bracelet, and $1,400. They said the assailants were last seen fleeing in a blue Honda Accord. “The victim was not injured and refused medical attention,” police said.

Police said the seventh incident occurred in the Highbridge section of The Bronx, in the 44th Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Monday, April 24, at around 1.30 a.m., the victim, a 51-year-old man, was walking in front of 1472 Ogden Avenue when a person unknown to him approached him from behind and placed a gun against his body. Police said the assailant stole the victim’s chain, bracelet, and rings. “The individual was last seen fleeing in a blue Honda Accord,” the police spokesperson said. “The victim was not injured and refused medical attention.”

 

Police said the eighth incident took place in the Mt. Eden section of The Bronx in the 44th Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Sunday, May 7, at around 11.25 p.m., the victim, a 30-year-old man, was walking in front of 1566 Macombs Road when he was approached by a person unknown to him. Police said the assailant pulled out a gun and attempted to steal the victim’s property. However, they said the victim was able to get away with his property intact. “The individual was last seen fleeing in a blue Honda sedan,” police said. “The victim was not injured and refused medical attention.”

 

Police said a ninth incident occurred in the Highbridge section of The Bronx, also in the 44th Precinct. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Monday, May 8, at around 3.45 a.m., the victims, a 31-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, were crossing the street at University Avenue and Grant Highway when they were approached by two people unknown to them. Police said the assailants pulled out a gun and stole both victims’ necklaces. “The individuals were last seen fleeing northbound on University Avenue in a blue Honda Accord,” police said. “The victims were not injured and refused medical attention.”

 

Police said the first suspect is described as male, is estimated to be in his early 20s, has a light complexion, is around 6 feet tall, and weighs around 175 pounds. They said the second suspect (not pictured) is also described as male, is also estimated to be in his early 20s, has a light complexion, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds.

 

The vehicle is described as a blue Honda Accord with dark tinted windows.
