According to NYPD Detective Annette Shelton, two complaint reports are on file at the NYPD in relation to aggravated assault incidents that occurred on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 in the 52nd precinct.

At around 9 p.m. on the subway station platform inside Fordham Road subway station, located at the corner of Jerome Avenue and East Fordham Road in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx, a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy were struck about their body by a man. It has since been reported in the media that the man in question is the boys’ father.  The investigation is active and ongoing.

Footage of the subway incident had been circulated on social media and is captured in the attached News 12 report. The facial features of the children have been blurred out to protect their identities.

Norwood News reached out to the Bronx District Attorney’s office to inquire on the latest case status and we were informed that the only thing the office could say at this time was that it was investigating the case with police.

Anyone with information with regard to the above-referenced incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
