When contacted, the Red Cross officials said it registered four households after the fire, including six adults, one child, and three pets, for emergency assistance such as temporary lodging and financial assistance.

“Our Greater New York Disaster Action Team also provided impacted residents with care items such as comfort kits, water, snacks and blankets,” Ned Klein from the American Red Cross said. “Red Cross caseworkers will meet with these residents in coming days to help connect them with nonprofit and/or government partners to address longer-term recovery needs.”
