Fordham Heights: Two Sought for Commercial Robbery of Jewelry Store

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the two people seen in the attached video and photo who are sought for questioning in connection to a commercial robbery that occurred in the Fordham Heights section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at around 3.30 p.m., two male individuals entered a jewelry store located at 50 East Fordham Road and asked an employee to try on some jewelry. “When an employee unlocked the front door for a customer, both individuals ran out of the store without paying, while wearing the jewelry,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “The individuals fled with approximately $7,000 worth of merchandise and were last seen fleeing on foot northbound on Morris Avenue.”

 

The spokesperson said the two later got into a blue Honda vehicle [and fled the scene]. Police said there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident. The attached surveillance photo and video of the suspects was obtained from the incident location, according to police.
