Federal agents and the NYPD have rounded up an organized drug gang in the Norwood section of the Bronx, capping an investigation that began last summer.

READ THE INDICTMENT

In downtown Manhattan, Acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said the gang, Mosholu Money Over Bitches (MMOB), operated on Knox and Gates Places, and “trafficked in all types of drugs, including crack cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana, and peddled them on the streets, by delivery, and out of apartment buildings in the area.”

Seven members of the gang, Joshua Perez, 30, Javier Collazo, 20, Hiram Collazo, 19, Natalie Jusino, 34, Kevin Mieses, 25, Amaury Modesto, 37, and Andrew Perez, 24, have been charged with narcotics possession and other crimes. The Drug Enforcement Administration began its investigation into the gang in July last year.

According to the indictment, the gang was allegedly known to have dealt hard drugs, including crack cocaine, cocaine, oxycodone, and marijuana, sometimes in hand-to-hand transactions or packaging the drugs. The gang operated on Knox and Gates Places, Mosholu Parkway, and East Gun Hill Road, according to the indictment. While six have been apprehended, Joshua Perez, the alleged ringmaster who distributed drugs to his street dealers and handled customer complaints, according to the indictment, remains at large.

Kim added the arrests hope to “stem the flow of drugs and the havoc they wrought on the Norwood neighborhood of the Bronx.”

To cover up their crimes, the indictment alleges Amaury Modesto had thrown out drugs out of his window when police came by his house in January this year. Javier Collazo, the indictment claims, was called by Modesto to retrieve the drugs.

The arrests underscore the already accepted claim that the neighborhood Knox and Gates is rooted in drugs. Residents have confirmed this to the Norwood News, though many refuse to go on the record.

I delivered the Post to those buildings in the early to mid sixties. The ethnic make-up was majority Jewish and crime of any kind was simply not an issue.Tragic.

Yup, this is exactly what has ruined the Bronx and will continue to ruin it as long as we are a sanctuary city, allow baby breeders and their welfare support and continue to make excuses for ghetto goons.

      Ain’t diversity great!

If our slip-shot mayor has his way, he will have Norwood turn into the drug infested counties of South America and Mexico. Being part Puerto Rican myself, I am proud to say that Puerto Pecans have become an excellent productive part of America.

I bought drugs there back in the 1970’s so this has been going on for year and years. Stop kidding yourself.

It is obvious what ethnicity is causing the crimes and drug dealings at Knox and gates place. It was a beautiful community when Irish, Jewish and Italian lived in that area, until Hispanics took over the neighborhood. Except for Puerto Rican, the mexican, Columbian and mostly South American countries pushed there way into that community, forcing the decent residents to move. Now it’s time for President Trump to do some pushing. GOD Willing

It’s sad that this is what our community has come to. That area of the Bronx hasn’t been nice or safe in decades and it’s not only the hispanics that contributed to the decline of the neighborhood. we should take the time to help the community grow safer by offering some kind of support rather than judge the citizens for the horrible choices they make to feed their families.
