Edenwald Houses: 28-Year Man Shot, Dies

A 28-year-old man has died following a shooting at Edenwald Houses in the Edenwald section of the Bronx.

 

Police responded to a 911 call regarding the shooting which occurred in front of 1137 East 229 Drive South in the 47th Precinct/Police Service Area 8 on Friday, Sept. 3, at approximately 8.38 p.m.  Upon arrival, officers observed the 28-year-old with a gunshot wound to his chest.

 

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation is ongoing.

 

The deceased has been identified as Dennis Neal, 28, of Nereid Avenue, The Bronx, NY
