UPDATE Eastchester: 27-Year-Old Man Shot Dead

Police said a 27-year-old male has died following a shooting in the Eastchester section of The Bronx in the early hours of Saturday morning.

 

An NYPD spokesperson said that on Saturday, June 14, at around 2.03 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at the intersection of Givan Avenue and Palmer Avenue.

 

“Upon arrival, police observed a 27-year-old male who suffered three gunshot wounds to the chest, inside of a 2012 gray Infinite sedan, unconscious and unresponsive,” the spokesperson said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.  There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.”

 

The deceased was later identified as Keino Campbell from the Parkchester section of The Bronx.
