UPDATE Mt. Hope: Police Launch Murder Investigation following Fatal Stabbing of 36-Year-Old Man
Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of a 36-year-old man in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Tuesday, Dec. 24, (Christmas Eve) at around 11.43 a.m., police from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been stabbed in the vicinity of East Tremont Avenue and Morris Avenue.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, Dec. 10, that the Bronx man who was arrested for bringing a loaded machine gun into Kingsbridge Road subway station on Election Day, Nov. 5, has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and additional charges. As reported, the man was caught by police with an assault-style rifle and a large-capacity magazine in his backpack inside the station.
