UPDATE Van Cortlandt Park: Man Found Dead on Major Deegan with Trauma to Head & Body after Hit & Run

Police said a 30-year-old man was found dead on the Major Deegan Expressway in Van Cortlandt Park in the early hours of Sunday morning, Sept. 7 and have since said that they are investigating the incident as a hit & run.

UPDATE Allerton: Arrests Made after Deadly Multiple Shooting on Allerton Ave followed by Vehicle Collision

Police said they have made several arrests after a 25-year-old man was fatally shot on Monday evening, Sept. 1, in the Allerton section of The Bronx, and four other people who were also shot were hospitalized and remain in stable condition. 

Two New York City Employees Arrested in The Bronx for Assault

Police said a 48-year-old male, off-duty, New York City employee and a 28-year-old female, off-duty New York City employee were each arrested in separate incidents in The Bronx over the weekend.
