Fordham Manor: Search for Family of Unidentified Elderly Woman Admitted to Hospital

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the elderly, Hispanic woman seen in the attached photo.   On Wednesday, July 7, the woman was transported by ambulance in stable condition and uninjured from the vicinity of 9 Fordham Hill Oval in Fordham Manor to New York-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital for evaluation. Search for Missing 39-Year-Old Woman Last Seen at Einstein Hospital

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating a woman reported missing in Morris Park, in the 49th precinct. It was reported to police that Eveline Cabral, 39, of 700 White Plains Road in Clason Point was last seen on Friday, July 9, at approximately 1.41 p.m., inside Einstein Hospital, located at 1825 Eastchester Road in Morris Park.   Cabral is described as female, 39 years old, Black, approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighs about 108 pounds.   Anyone with information with regard to this missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS

DOB Releases Multi-Year Construction Safety Analysis Report

NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) announced on June 28, the release of a new building construction safety report that officials said provides deep insights on construction safety trends in New York City. Based on data compiled during 2019 and 2020, the report examines various DOB “proactive and data-driven initiatives” which officials said led to declines in construction-related incidents and injuries.   According to DOB, the report also provides a first-of-its-kind analysis of major building construction incidents that occurred over the past two years which led to fatal or near fatal outcomes, detailing the contributing factors that precipitated those incidents.

Update: Police Respond to Security Incident in Throg’s Neck Outside 45th Precinct

Kingsbridge Heights: FDNY Responds to Residential Fire at 131 W 197th Street

Norwood News received reports from users of the Citizens App on Thursday, July 8, at around 9.35 a.m. of an apparent fire at 131 West 197th Street in Kingsbridge Heights. Three to four FDNY vehicles were seen in a video posted to the Citizen’s App in relation to the incident. Mayor: Heat Advisory in Effect from Tuesday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 7

The City’s emergency management (EMS) and health departments issued a warning to New Yorkers on Monday, July 5, to take precautions to beat the heat as temperatures are expected to rise dramatically from Tuesday, July 6, until Wednesday, July 7. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory which will be in effect in the City from 11 a.m. Tuesday to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
