Mosholu Preservation Corporation Celebrates 40 Years in Norwood

  Representatives of Mosholu Preservation Corporation (MPC) gathered with local community residents, business owners, and elected officials to celebrate its 40th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 17. The event was held outdoors at the historic Keeper’s House, located at 3400 Reservoir Oval East, in Norwood, which is also home to the nonprofit.   About 60 community members and former and current elected officials joined past and present MPC staff members for the occasion. On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Bronxites gathered at various memorial events across the borough to honor the memories of those lost during the September 11th attacks in 2001. 56-Year-Old Man Arrested for Bedford Park Murder

Police confirm a 56-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges in the context of a Bedford Park homicide investigation, following a death in August.   As reported, on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at approximately 4.52 p.m., police responded to a call following reports of a foul odor inside 2854 Briggs Avenue in Bedford Park, located in the 52nd precinct. DOE Responds to NYC School Safety Coalition Comments following Bronx School Slashing

  The NYC Department of Education (DOE) has responded to remarks made by a representative of the NYC Schools Safety Coalition, Mona Davids, in the wake of a face slashing which took place at Bronx Collaborative High School on Wednesday. Sept. 15, after a dispute broke out between two students.   As reported, an unidentified, 15-year-old student was slashed in the face with an unknown object on the school premises at DeWitt school campus, located in Jerome Park, while another student fled to parts unknown. UPDATE: Slashing at Bronx Collaborative High School Leaves One Student Hospitalized

  A student from Bronx Collaborative High School was hospitalized following a slashing incident which took place at the school on Wednesday. Sept. 15, after a dispute broke out between two students.
