The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached photos who are sought for questioning in connection to an assault that occurred in Fordham Manor. Members of the 52nd Precinct said a felony assault took place in front of 61 East Kingsbridge Road on Monday, Aug. 8, at 4:30 a.m. They said the pictured individuals allegedly stabbed a 26-year-old male victim multiple times, causing serious physical injuries, in an unprovoked attack. A court-authorized search of an apartment in the Mount Hope neighborhood of The Bronx resulted in the seizure of approximately 110 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine, plus 50 pounds of a substance believed to be crystal meth, and up to 75,000 counterfeit pills believed to contain fentanyl, according to the City’s Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor (SNP). Six individuals were arrested in connection with a large-scale heroin/fentanyl packaging mill in the Crotona neighborhood of The Bronx, representatives from the City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor (SNP) said on Monday, Aug. 8. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory which will be in effect from 3:23 a.m. until Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. NWS officials said heat index values indicate that temperatures in the lower 100s are possible in The Bronx and in all of New York City, with high humidity forecast which may cause heat related illnesses to occur. A 3-alarm fire in Claremont Village on Aug. 4 resulted in injury to one firefighter according to FDNY officials. An FDNY spokesperson said the fire was reported on Thursday morning, Aug. 4, at six minutes after midnight at 1325 Morris Avenue. According to the FDNY official, the fire was “on all floors of a 2-story dwelling.” He added that around 33 units comprising 138 firefighters and EMS members responded to the scene. Firefighters battled 90 degree heat as well as a stubborn junkyard fire in Fordham Manor by land and sea on July 22, including employing an FDNY marine unit on the Harlem River to help extinguish the blaze. A fire which broke out in Bedford Park on July 27 resulted in no injuries, according to the FDNY.
