NYC DOH: Legionnaires’ Disease Spreads in The Bronx with 2 Dead amid 24 Cases

Bedford Park: Search for 16-Year-Old Missing Teen

  The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating a 16-year-old male reported missing from Bedford Park.   It was reported to police that Musapha Thiam, of 2781 Marion Avenue was last seen leaving his home on Thursday, May 31, at approximately 11 a.m. He is described as being around 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds. University Heights: Bronx Man Charged with Attempted Murder & Attempted Rape in Building Hallway

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Wednesday, May 25, that a Bronx man was charged with attempted murder, attempted rape, along with additional charges for allegedly sexually assaulting, strangling, and beating a woman inside a University Heights building.   According to the prosecution’s investigation, inside a hallway in a building on Davidson Avenue on March 11, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the defendant, Jason Dickerson, 34, of Bailey Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, allegedly offered the victim, a 27-year-old woman, money for sex. The New York City office of the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Bronx county and nearby regions on Sunday, May 22, until 4:15 p.m.   “A severe thunderstorm was located over Oradell, or over Paramus, moving southeast at 25 mph,” NWS officials said. “Wind gusts of 60 mph are expected,” according to the agency’s radar. The NYPD said a 29-year-old woman reported missing on Tuesday, May 31, in Pelham Parkway, has been found.   It was reported to police that, prior to being found, Valerie Brown of Bronx Park East had last been seen on Tuesday, May 31, around 5 p.m., leaving her home. She was described as female, around 5 feet, four inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, Black, with an average build, a dark complexion, black hair in a ponytail and brown eyes.
