The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 27-year-old man reported missing from Van Nest, located in the 49th Precinct. Majed Alwan of 1704 Van Buren Street, Bronx, NY was last seen on Tuesday, July 5, at approximately 10.30 a.m. leaving his home. He is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has brown hair, brown eyes, and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black pants with white stripes. Off-Duty Police Officer Arrested for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing & Unlawful Imprisonment
An off-duty New York City employee has been arrested in the 49th precinct which covers Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens. On Monday, July 4, at 11.08 p.m., NYPD Police Officer Kelvin White, 43, was arrested while off duty and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment. White became a police officer in July 2010 and is assigned to the Yankee Stadium detail. No information was available on the officer’s disciplinary history. A man has been hospitalized with severe head trauma following a road accident in Woodlawn Heights. On Sunday, July 3, at approximately 1.08 p.m., police responded to a road accident in the vicinity of East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue, located in the 47th Precinct. A woman estimated to be in her thirties has died following a hit and run incident in West Farms. Williamsbridge: Search for Group following Non Fatal Shooting
The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the group of individuals seen in the attached video who are sought for questioning in connection to a reckless endangerment incident that occurred in Williamsbridge, located in the 47th precinct. It was reported to police that on June 12, at around 3.22 a.m., in the vicinity of East 215th Street and Barnes Avenue, the group of unidentified individuals got into a verbal dispute with each other, at which point a reported good Samaritan, in a white Nissan, pulled up to the corner to speak to a female in the group.
