DOL: Recruitment Drive Launched for 100 Carpenter Apprenticeships

  The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the High Rise Concrete Carpenters of New York City will conduct a recruitment drive from April 12 through November 8, 2023 for 100 Carpenter apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced on Monday, March 13.   According to the department, applicants must attend an in-person information session at NYC District Council of Carpenters Training Center (NYC DCC Training Center) located at 395 Hudson Street (Clarkson Street entrance) in Manhattan. The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 16-year-old male youth reported missing from Bedford Park.   It was reported to police that Arvin Alcatara, 16, from 2980 Valentine Avenue, was last seen on Friday, March 10, at around 4 p.m. inside his home. Wakefield: Man Slashed in Face with Glass Bottle Gets 40 Stitches

Belmont: Police Release Photos of Suspect following Murder of 25-Year-Old Man

Jose Gonzalez Found Guilty of Killing EMT Yadira Arroyo

Williamsbridge: Four Sought following Multiple Shooting Incident
