Allerton: 56-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death

On Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at around 8.39 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at 2802 Olinville Avenue, in Allerton section of the Bronx, in the 49th precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 56-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a stab wound to the chest. The aided man was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased.   There were initially no arrests, and the investigation was ongoing. Soundview: Man Stabbed to Death

  On Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at approximately 00.15 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been stabbed at the corner of Boynton Avenue and Westchester Avenue, in the 43rd precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered an unidentified man lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds to his body.   EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Westchester Square Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. City Launches Plan to Help Low and Medium-Income Tenants with Security Deposits

Last month, on Dec. 30, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) announced they were soliciting submissions from companies which could come up with alternative ways of helping renters in City and HDC-sponsored affordable housing to pay their required security deposits when signing a lease.   The Security Deposit Alternatives RFEI program identifies eligible companies that could potentially offer alternate solutions to the traditional, lump-sum deposit requirement which plagues many low and medium-income renters.   The program is part of the City’s broader plan to create alternate ways
