UPDATE Mt. Hope: Man Arrested following Multiple Stabbing of 2nd Man at 176th Street Subway Station

  A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a murder inquiry after a 38-year-old man died following a fatal stabbing at East 176th Street subway station, located on the border of Mt. Research by Albert Einstein College of Medicine Physicians May Help Detect Risk of Alzheimers

In a study involving more than 1,000 cognitively normal adults aged 60 and older, Joe Verghese, M.B.B.S., M.S., Emmeline Ayers, M.P.H., Nigel Kravatz, and colleagues at The Bronx’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) found that older adults who have difficulty identifying odors are likely to transition soon from normal cognition to motoric cognitive risk syndrome (MCR).   This syndrome, characterized by cognitive complaints and slow gait [manner of walking], is often a prelude to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Adams Applauds President Biden on Latest Marijuana-Related Announcement

UPDATE Ten Injured, including Kids & one Senior Citizen, in Foxhurst Police-Involved Road Accident

Ten people have been reported injured following a road accident involving a police vehicle on Thursday, Oct. 6, at around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Westchester Avenue and Hoe Avenue in the Foxhurst section of The Bronx, just southeast of Crotona Park East.   Citizens’ App users shared live footage of cordoned-off streets, a large crowd gathered, and multiple members of the NYPD at the location, in the 41st Precinct, after the incident occurred. Mott Haven: Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for Units at 322 Grand Concourse

NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) has launched an affordable housing lottery for units at 322 Grand Concourse, a 14-story, mixed-use building in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx.   Designed by Fishcher + Makooi Architect, and developed by Simon Kaufman, the structure yields 153 residential units, as reported by YIMBY.   Available on NYC Housing Connect, the online reporting tool for HPD are 25 units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $56,983 to $115,280.   According to NYC Housing Connect, and YIMBY, residents will have access
