Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 7-story residential building at 219 East 203rd Street in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Located between Valentine Avenue and Grand Concourse, the interior lot is close to the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Joel Friedman is listed as the owner behind the applications, according to YIMBY. Video footage of flames and smoke seen on the elevated subway platform of the Kingsbridge Road subway station raised alarm bells on Tuesday, April 18. A young woman who was reportedly kidnapped in Brooklyn on Friday, April 21, has been located, police said. Police said that on Friday, April 21, at around 1.45 a.m. an unidentified female victim was kidnapped by an unidentified man at the intersection of Avenue W and Stillwell Avenue in the Gravesend neighborhood in the southern part of Brooklyn. Police said a 69-year-old man has been arrested on various charges, including attempted murder, following a shooting in a residential building on East Gun Hill Road in Norwood last weekend, as reported.
