DOE Says Clinton Will Remain, But Changes Coming

The tremendous effort put forth by the students, staff and alumni of Dewitt Clinton High School has paid off after the Department of Education announced plans to ax the historic yet troubled school were no longer part of the discussion. But changes, including leadership change, could be on the horizon.

Bronx LIFT, 2381 Belmont Ave. (between 186th and 187th streets), offers free workshops, one-on-one financial coaching, referrals to credit unions, and free one-on-one assistance with employment, housing, resume help, filling out applications, finding education/job training opportunities and enrolling in public benefits. LIFT also offers free assistance to veterans, including legal, financial, employment, health and education. Severe Flu Season Leads Montefiore to Expand Urgent Care Center Hours

Montefiore Medical Center infectious disease experts are urging the public to get vaccinated against influenza in one of the most severe and longest flu seasons in a decade. To manage the surge of patients, Montefiore is extending hours at several of its community urgent care sites.
