Chancellor Walcott Coming to NW Bronx for Town Hall Meeting

Got questions for the city’s top educator? You’re in luck. Bronx parents, students, advocates and everyone in between will have an opportunity to speak with New York City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott who is scheduled to attend a town hall-style meeting at the Walton campus (2780 Reservoir Ave.) on Tuesday, March 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. Community Education Council District 10 is hosting the forum in Walton’s auditorium.

Three Torahs Stolen From Norwood Synagogue

Three Torah scrolls, each worth $45,000, were stolen recently from the Young Israel Synagogue of Mosholu Parkway, a temple with dwindling membership on East 208th Street in Norwood, according to police.
