In-Tech Academy Paint Club Students Honored at Publicolor Awards Ceremony

Tyeress Manley, a 10th grader at In-Tech Academy MS/HS 368 in Marble Hill, recalled hearing about Paint Club from a couple of friends. They had visited one of his classes and had told him that the club was a great way to relieve stress, and at the same time, have fun. He decided to go to the first meeting.   The club ended up exceeding Tyeress’s expectations. Bronx Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Soundview School Slashings Amid DV Incident

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Monday, Jan. 16, that a Bronx man has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree and other related charges for barging into P.S. 69 Journey Prep with a knife and slashing two staff members. One was cut in the arm and the other in the neck. Earth Day Celebrated at Woodlawn, Bronx Community College & Across The Bronx

Bloomberg Philanthropies Provides Funding to Boost Children’s Summer Learning

DOE Expansion of Gifted & Talented Program to All 32 School Districts Starts May 31

Schools Chancellor David Banks and Mayor Eric Adams announced the expansion of New York City Department of Education’s (DOE) Gifted & Talented program for the school year 2022-2023 on April 14. The public school program offers accelerated instruction to eligible elementary school students in New York City.   With the addition of 100 kindergarten seats, and 1,000 third-grade seats, both these entry points to the program are being expanded to all 32 school districts for the first time, bringing the total number of available seats to 2,500.
