Worries Over Narco Freedom Bldg. Mismanaged in Bedford Pk.

For the past year, neighborhood resident Aldo Perez has waged a war on a homeless shelter and synthetic marijuana use in Bedford Park. He’s now turning to a halfway house for recovering addicts, which he claims, condones drug use, loitering and fistfights in front of the building. And he’s fed up.

Plenty of families came out of their homes and owned the night during the yearly National Night Out Against Crime, an annual event where communities and officers take back the streets. This year, the 52nd Precinct Community Council staged the event at Mosholu Parkway between Bainbridge Avenue and Van Cortlandt Avenue South. Check out this year’s photos by Miriam Quin. I agree with that because anytime you have to use the bathroom and go to places like some Burger Kings or McDonald’s, you’re not allowed to use the bathroom. Police in Northwest Bronx Hunt for Cop Impersonator

By DAVID CRUZ Police have been on a three-month hunt for an alleged cop impersonator exploiting kind-hearted Bronxites, and now need your help in tracking him. Police say Richard Gomez, 43, is suspected of hitting stores within the 52nd and 50th precincts in the northwest Bronx, addressing himself as “Sgt. Russo,” and asking employees to donate funds for sick children of officers. Gomez is swindling employees at Salsa Con Fuego at 2297 on Apr. 27 within the Five-Two and the Caridad Restaurant at 135 W. Kingsbridge Road, falling in the Five-O. Gomez is described as a male Hispanic at 5’8″
