UPDATE Riverdale: Coffee House Event Held for Holocaust Survivors at Hebrew Institute

Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz (A.D. 81) and Councilman Eric Dinowitz (C.D. 11), both of whom broadly represent the northwest Bronx, joined attendees and officials from Selfhelp Community Services on Thursday, Sept. 18, when the organization hosted its latest “Coffee House” event at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale, part of an event series dedicated to Holocaust survivors. 

UPDATE Judge Orders Deportation of Bronx Student “Dylan” as Woman Violently Shoved Against Wall Inside Federal Plaza

The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) announced on Tuesday, Sept. 23, that an immigration judge has issued a decision to deny the asylum claim of “Dylan,” a detained Marble Hill high school student at ELLIS Preparatory Academy who was detained by law enforcement in May, as reported, despite public outcry and a large rally held in lower Manhattan following his arrest.

UPDATE Williamsbridge: Man Arrested in Rape of 25-Year-Old Woman

The NYPD said a 26-year-old man has been arrested following a rape that occurred in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx earlier this month. Detectives had been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they said was wanted in connection with the incident.
