UPDATE ACS Investigating with NYPD Case of Bronx Mom Arrested for Allegedly Fatally Stabbing Two Infants

The City’s Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) told Norwood News the agency is investigating with the NYPD the case of 22-year-old Bronx mom, Dimone Fleming, who was arrested in November for allegedly killing her two infant sons at a homeless shelter in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx. University Heights: Suspect Sought in Non-Fatal Shooting, Victim Struck in Head Area

Officials from the 52nd Precinct are calling on the public to help with an investigation into a non-fatal shooting incident in University Heights.   They said the incident occurred on Nov. 26 at around 2:24 a.m. opposite 138 West Fordham Road. Police said a suspect shot and struck a victim in the head area before fleeing in the pictured vehicle.   A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information in relation to the incident.    Residents are asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS with any information they may have. Calls are confidential.

Mt Hope: Three Sought following Robbery of 34-Year-Old Man

The two infants who, as reported, died having been stabbed multiple times on Saturday, Nov. 27, following an apparent domestic incident at a family shelter in the Mt. Off-Duty NYPD School Cross Guard Arrested in The Bronx

An off-duty, NYPD school cross guard was arrested in The Bronx, police said.   On Saturday, Nov. 26, at 6.29 p.m., police said an off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 49th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.   Matthew Marichal, 41, was charged with criminal mischief and harassment.   A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.   Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime

City Council Passes Two New Bills to Support Survivors of Domestic & Gender-Based Violence

New York City Mayor Eric Adams signed two new bills into law on Tuesday, Nov. 22, which provide support for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence in New York City. Intro. 153-A amends the City’s administrative code by establishing a housing stability program for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, while Intro. 154-A amends the City’s administrative code by requiring the Mayor’s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) to create an online services portal and resource guide for survivors.   “Everyone deserves to be safe in their relationships and live a life free of domestic and gender-based violence,”
