A Bronx Salad is Tossed in Battle to Reverse Health Outcomes
The Norwood News, WFUV, BronxNet TV complete their five-part series profiling food insecurity across the Bronx. Johlany Tejada is a first grader at an afterschool program operated by BronxWorks, a social services non-profit. Johlany has attended the program for two years and says that one of her favorite parts of the day is sitting down to eat. But her favorite snack isn’t what one would consider typical elementary school fare.
