State Sen. Luis Sepúlveda has been stripped of his title as Chair of the Senate Committee on Crimes, Crime Victims and Corrections following a domestic dispute during which he is alleged to have attempted to choke his estranged wife. Last October, the New York City Police Department asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the attached surveillance video and photo in connection with an assault that occurred in the 42nd precinct. It was reported to police that on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at approximately 5.30 p.m., in front of 960 Tinton Avenue, located between Forest Houses and William McKinley Houses, a 30-year-old male victim was approached by an unknown individual who displayed a black firearm and shot the victim in the torso before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
